Recommended indications and usage guidelines

METHODS OF USE

Teeth cleaning

Application may vary depending on the patient's condition and needs, but generally APAPRO should be applied to a clean tooth surface using a rubber cup or soft polishing tip attached to a dental contra-angle or an individually fitted cup. Very gentle, if possible non-mechanical cleaning is recommended, for example using sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) gel, which can remove organic material such as plaque, stains or, in the case of exposed dentin, collagen fibers.

The gel should be applied to each tooth surface for 20-30 seconds (up to 1 minute for stubborn stains), taking care to avoid contact with the gums. Use a single-bristled brush or similar instrument, treating only a few teeth at a time. If mechanical cleaning is unavoidable, it is recommended to use a prophylactic paste with the lowest possible RDA abrasiveness.

Use with rubber scoop

When applying the paste to all teeth, for example for general care, use about 2 g of paste for the upper teeth and a similar amount for the lower teeth. Apply a small amount of paste to each tooth individually using a rubber scoop.

Use 1-2 g (about a 1-2 cm strip) of APAPRO paste for the upper and lower jaw for general care, or the same amount for any individual tooth that needs more care.

While rotating the cup at low speed (500-750 rpm), gently massage the paste into the tooth surface: 20-30 seconds for sensitive areas and 5-10 seconds for general care, until only a small amount of paste remains on the teeth. It is important to massage the entire tooth surface, including between the teeth and along the gum line to the chewing edge.

You can also use unwaxed microfiber or sponge-type dental floss to spread the paste between your teeth, protecting against interdental cavities, before lightly rinsing your mouth with water.

Use with individual graves

In-office use with custom trays, customized to the patient's teeth, is also recommended as needed. In cases of severe surface abrasion, tooth sensitivity, or demineralization where long-term treatment is recommended, professional care can be supplemented with custom trays for home use. The patient should use the paste once a day or once a week as directed by the dentist. Ideally, after brushing before bedtime. The paste is spread thinly on the tray, the tray is placed on the teeth for 5 minutes. The tray is then removed, rinsed, and the mouth is lightly rinsed with water.
